Sorry about this, but I ran into some errors when making posts on this forum. New user, but you can't make a post. You have to log in manually.
But probably the forum is just under a heavy load right now.

Using opera 9.10 on win xp pro sp2
I had a problem when installing Mango 1.4.7 alpha
on a win xp pro, cfmx 7.0.2, mysql 5.0.27 machine.

I changed some lines in mysql.sql in the setup
folder and everything works now as expected.

I removed default '' where it appeared and in
one occasion I had to use default ' to fix it.

error: "columnX of type BLOB/TEXT cannot have default value"

Interesting, I've never seen that error when using mysql. I will change it to ' to avoid possible errors.

I posted a new version, it would be great if you can tell me if this works for you now.

Thanks

@Laura:

I did a clean install and everything worked like a charm with the 1.4.8 release.
Thanks for the quick fix ! ;)

Just one little glitch: I'm using Opera 9.10 on win xp. On the first setup screen I had to reload a couple of times. Otherwise I can see both forms.

where: Do you have a datasource setup for you? (y/n)

The problem with that is that the Javascript checker pops in and you can't submit the form properly. I haven't checked other browsers at this point.

FYI: a couple of F5's solved the problem. I also had this in 1.4.7.

Hi,
I haven't checked the setup in Opera. I know it doesn't work in Safari either. I've been thinking in replacing it, but since users will only see it once, I didn't want to spend too much time on it. Maybe I should improve it, since it is also the first impression people get of Mango.

Why not give it a go in CF Forms or Flex ? :)

I know some people hate flash tools, but in this case it's hard not to see the benefits.

Yes, making a Flex version was my idea for the replacement.
