John Gag has created a new free theme called FreshMedia based on Styleshout's CSS template. The theme has been made available to everyone and you can download it from your blog administration.
I've made a couple of modification and fixes to the original theme that John did, so you may want to re-download it from your admin if you already have it.
Thanks John and good job!

Hi John,
There is no official process, but it generally goes like this:
- Either you or I commit the theme to the Mango blog extensions repository (http://code.google.com/p/mangoblog-extensions/ )
- Then I review the theme to ensure it works properly in all environments, under all circumstances (ie: when a post allows comments, when it doesn't, when a post has no categories, etc). If I commit it to svn, I usually do that before committing the code. But if you do it, then I review it after.
- Then you have to be OK with me changing the theme, either if I fix it if something does not work or if I enhance it. For example, the Fresh media theme had the elements in the footer fixed. I changed it so that the footer was pod enabled and you can change the elements from the Pod Manager. You will still be the author of the theme, but since the theme will be downloadable from the admin, people will expect it to work perfectly, so I must ensure it does.
Higher Ground is very nice, so I think it would be used by a lot of people.
You can email me directly if you want to discuss this in more detail.

Hi Laura,
Thanks for the response. I'm more than happy to let you make any fixes or enhancements to the theme. I would also be very happy to have it included as a downloadable theme from the admin.

Hi Laura,
I would like to get my Higherground theme to you but I can't seem to find your email address.

Great looking theme, thanks to John Gag for taking the time to port it over to Mango and make it available. I also ported one of the StyleShout CSS templates, Higher Ground, to Mango and offer it up on the project page of my blog. Is there an official process for getting it to be part of the Mango distribution like this one?
